Kadie's Swap FINISHED!

Ok took me a while but I FINALLY finished all the cards :)

Now let's see if I can get these uploaded real fast before the baby gets fussy :)

First card - I've wanted to CASE this card from armywife97wp for a LONG time :)
This is actually the card that I saw awhile ago that inspired me to buy the Silly Sealife set :) I love these whales! It wasn't easy getting them close together like this :) BUT I love this card - will definatly make it again

And this was the SECOND SIlly Sealife card that told me I NEEDED this set :) Cased by tackertwosome
LOVE this card :)

Ok Baby's starting to get fussy so hurry-ing a long....

Here is a Very Punny froggy :)
Love this card - took forever for me to make because I don't like to cut images out very often but - I think I liked how it turned out :) Sorry you can see the last frog, I can't find out how to take the date off the camera for these project pictures but put it back on for scrapbook pictures -
Card Cased by - stampshera

Another Very Punny Card - Cased by - thurbis01 Her's looks a lot better - I still don't have a scallp punch

Obviously I'm not a very orginal person :) I case almost everything :)

This one I got the idea off of - UGH I can't find it! I thought I had it written down! I'm so sorry!
It's actually the second card I made like this - the first one my son spilt his chocolate milk all over and ruined it : BUT this one turned out ok too :)

Using my Circut machine I cased this from Monika
And now that I'm in her gallery getting her link I see I got the above card from her too :)

This one I had messed up on a previous center folded card and had the card stock sitting in my scrap pile - so I pulled it out and just added a matching piece of patterened paper over it and added the Thanks :) (My orginal :)

And now we come to an end - I finished all the cards last night - then realized as I was cleaning up I needed ONE MORE THANK YOU card! AHHHHHH

So this morning I went to Misti's site and followed her tutorial on how to make this cute Nugget card box

This was my first time ever nugget box - I had the HARDEST time scoring this one - The sliding box was too big, or the sides were too small - So I changed her numbers around a little instead of 4 3/4 square I used 4 1/2 square and scored at 7/8 for the slide box and THAT seemed to work out better :) Whew - Filled with some nuggets I got at the store yesterday (luckly there were still a few in the bag :) And I used my wheel on the mailing lables - I didn't think things through as far as the stamps/paper I wanted to use- but they look pretty ok :) Don't they??

Now THAT (I hope) concludes my 15 + card swap with my friend Kadie

6 Thank you cards
3 wedding/anniversary
2 birthdays
4 Thinking of you

Kadie's Swap

My friend Kadie and I are doing a private swap together - (no peeking Kadie!)

6 different Thank you cards
3 different Wedding/Marriage/Anniversary -
4 different Thinking of you
2 Different Birthday cards (for kids)

She went to a scrapbook retreat over the weekend and made a TON of stuff - waiting for her to share her pictures with me! I'm so jealous though - she made a TON of stuff out there -

She came home Sunday and cleaned out her craft room and made all the cards for our swap and put them in the mail already - AHHHH! Talk about pressure!
Ok So I'm not done yet but I got a good start today - takes me alittle longer since Collin (now 3 months) is not sleeping all day anymore - but I tried -

Ok here they are -

First one I actually made Saturday - It's my first try at the Tri-fold card - Thanks so much Beate for the step by step instructions - I hate cards that I have to score on - but this one is too pretty to not even try :)
I used a Stamp from Michaels

Next is this pretty one I CASED from franz - I used my Circut for the flowers and the Sincer Salutions (I can't spell - sorry) for the Thanks so much - and a ribbon I got from Walmart by the yard that I had laying around - The dots on the ribbon are pink to match - but for some reason in the photo they look blue - but they're really pink I promise :)

This next one (wedding) I CASED from (looking it up :) reneejul1
I LOVED her card - Now that I looked her up I'm seeing that I didn't do EXACTLY how she did it - but I got the idea from her
I used the cuttle bug to emboss it - then used the silver ink pad over it to add the color - I printed up the text with my computer and used pop dots to pop it out - used the cuzzle to cut out the squares and... oh a sheer ribbon I had laying around :)

Here is a Happy Birthday one that I made - everyone is using the cuttlebugs for cards now so I don't really know who I got this idea from - but I used a white ink spot over it so you could see the embossing a little better :)

Here is another Happy Birthday one -
Used the (I'm in a hurry and Can't remember the name of the stamp set - will add it in later) You can't see it but I used versemax ink on the stamp and used it for a background on the cover

And Finally my last Thank you card -
Using a dollar store Thank you Stamp - just cut out a hole in the middle with my cuzzle and put the tag - I put little hearts around the outside of the card to kind of match the heart brad I put on the thank you tag :)

And That's ALL I had time to make today :)
hoping tomorrow will be a better crafting day for me - I didn't get a lot of sleep last night - Cody had a bad dream and for 3 hours wouldn't stop coming in my room!! I finally caved and let him in my bed but ugh! So I took a little nap this morning before Christina and Cody woke up - just after Casey and Samantha went to school - Whew - Cut into my crafting time but much needed :)

Anyways - Cory's on his way home , I need to clean the house, get dinner started and finish helping the girls clean their rooms so we can paint their shelves TONIGHT! AHHHHH

Thanks for looking!

ILY

I've been working on a few scrapbook pages I don't like my layouts so I wont bore you with all the pictures but I love this one :)

Scrapbook Expo - April 14, 2007

Ok I FINALLY made it to my first scrapbook expo! I didn't know what to expect but wow! It was cool!

I took my 8 year old daughter and my 11 week old baby , and met my mother in law there at 9 am - we got the early bird session and were able to make a few make it/take it's that weren't offered to the regular public who only paid $6 a ticket instead of the $20 - it was worth it - but if I had known we were going to pay for the early bird sessions we would have gotten there at 7:30 when it opened instead of 9 am - we only had an hour to hurry through everything before the big crowd hit -

Whew - we were there for 7 1/2 hours - But it was a LOT of fun!
We had tried to get into a few of the classes but they every time we got there too late and they ran out of room :( So we just stayed with the make it/take it stuff and the AWESOME clearance/discounted items that were being sold EVERYWHERE!

First thing we made when we got in there was this way cute purse from Robert's crat -
The pictures suck - sorry but I'm tired and I just want to get these uploaded tonight :)

Next we made this cute Birthday paint can from Robert's craft store - I LOVE this one! My daughter wants to buy the bigger paint cans and decoarate them for birthday gifts :)

After these were finished we stood in line for about 20 mins to make this cute little folder mini album - theme is LOVE - but it was cute - I like how it' turned out.

Time for a little shopping - i got some really cute brass templates to play with for $1.25 each and a few for 25 cents each - spent a while looking through all those bins trying to look through them all -whew!

Next we went to the Clost to my Heart stand and did this make it take it
Cute card :) Oh wait, the picture really sucks - let me try it again ...

OK well after that was done - I had to go feed the baby so my mother in law took Samantha over to make a 12x12 scrapbook page - My scrapbook is 6x6 so I didn't mis too much - but my daughter loves it! She's SO excited to put pictures in it and put it in the shadow box we got - or maybe it's just a box with a window but she's excited to start on more scrapbooking now. She starts springbreak on Wednesday so I told her I'll wade through our CDs and maybe we can play catch up on scrapbooking. I stopped at Feb of last year so lots to catch up on :)

Anyways - back to the expo - we walked around al ittle more - I got a couple of quick cutz for $5 and some cute little tins for $1 a peice - I plan on putting paper on those next week - hopefully :)

Not sure who was sponcering this take it/make it - they had some really cute stuff though -OH it's that new company - what's it called??? Can't remember but I almost bought these stencils at Robert's last week - and their chalk is awesome! Going to have to go out and get some more :) Bugs me I can't remember though - grrr

Then we walked on toooo Archivies - we now have ONE in Orem - which isn't too far from my house - but far enough out of the way of everything else - so I haven't been there yet - but they did a cute little make it/take it thing also

THen we had to stop to feed Samantha - she was STARVING to death - So got her a $4 hot dog that was too spicy for her - ho hum, then back to shopping again - by this time it was 1:30 -

We walked around and found Designs by nails - ahem - anyone who has an 8 year old girl knows how important your nails are :) So I ended up buying the little kit to make cute little designs on your nails :) We'll get those in a week in the mail :) She's so excited. :)

More shopping - I got a big stack of cardstock for $1 and if I would have know it was $1 instead of $2 I would have gotten 3 more of them (I was out of money :)

So next we went back to the Robert's table and they were making these cards - I was getting a ticket for a raffle so I missed the card - it was 3:00 and they had to close up their make it/take it to make room for the next make it/take it- SOO Samantha made this card while I was getting the tickets for the raffle -

BUT since we were right there when she was setting up the next make it/take it we were first to do it - we made these cute little tags - Sorry for the bad picture - I'm too tired to re-take it right now :)

Then we went over to this cool looking thing - they had these plastic tiles that was cliped to a clipboard and card stock. you took a big paint brush and put ink on it and took off one of the tiles to get the ink on the paper - then put the tile back and take another one off to get a different part of the card - I had never seen these before but I LOVED it! If I had brought more money with me - look out - but since I didn't - I'll just have to watch for them at Robert's or Michaels or JoAnns and see if I can find them :)
I Love this face stamp too - wish I knew who made it - but it's probably safer that I don't :)

OK LAST STOP - whew it was getting late - we were tired but my baby was doing AWESOME! He was being so good!
We went back to the Robert's table for their "box of Love"
This one took FOREVER! We waited in line for about a half hour - then when we got up there my feet were killing me I just wanted to grab everything and leave - but nope we stayed and finished it all -
It was fun :)

When we got home Samantha kept saying how much fun she had and how much she loved it! She's so excited to scrapbook next week and make cards and all that fun stuff :) It's nice to have someone to play with now - My little girl is growing up - and loves to hang out with me :)

Note-Worthy

If you read my earlier blogs - you'll know I borrowed a few stamp sets from my mother in law -
Here's what I did while playing with the Noteworthy set - I found out that it's a retired set from last year - well lucky me :) Someone had an extra set :) SO I only made 3 cards using my mother in laws' set - since I'll have my own within a week or two :)

All these cards were Cased from SCS but I'm SO SORRY - I seem to have lost the email to myself that told me WHO I cased them from - I was SURE I saved it to my drafts folder but it's not there :( I'm SO SORRY!

I love the colors I used in these :)

Tomorrow - inbetween loads of laundry and cleaning I'll be using the Punch box set and the riveting set that I borrowed from her as well :)

No more puppies

I know this has nothing to do with crafts - but we just sold the last of the 9 puppies tonight -

We still have 4 puppies here until Saturday but once they pick them up - it'll be VERY quiet around my house - I'll get to sleep in on weekends again :) My back yard wont be messy - I wont have my back door blocked off with a wrap around gate - but I'm going to miss the little guys :(

Who wouldn't miss these faces
