What to do for Christmas???

WOW - Thanksgiving already??

I'm have been busy working on Thanksgiving - getting my house cleaned up for Christmas Decorations to start going up on Friday (keeps me out of the stores)
This month is going to be gone before we know it - are you ready???

I've been working on some fun ideas for Christmas cards - Dec 10th is Enrichment night at the church - we are having a Make it/Take it Christmas card - and a make it/take it Christmas Orniment -
The Christmas card will be easy enough for anyone to do - once you see how easy it is to make one - you'll want to go home and make 20 more! If you need the supplies to make it - Contact me and we'll get together and work it out!

If you don't want to make a card - but maybe a picture of you and your family to share a nice Chirstmas message with your loved ones - I can take your picture and turn it into a whole Christmas card -

Here is one I made the year before -

Just take it to smiths (Or whatever) and go to the photo section and print them up - these are really easy 4x6 Christmas cards - and all you have to do is adress and stamp and send them off! They also make great inserts for CHristmas cards - who wouldn't want to know who is wishing them a Merry Christmas?

Don't stress about the PERFECT gift for the one that has everything! I know - I have 6 on my list that really DO have everything! (smiles)

If you're looking for some cute mini scrapbooks for grandma and grandpa to put on their coffe table - or a Nice 8x11 scrapbook page to put in a picture frame or to hang on the wall - How about a refridgerator magnet to hold up your little one's art work? You could use their picture to hold up their picture!! Maybe a little picture frame that folds out of a tin to stick in your purse so you'll always have individual pictures of everyone you love!

Here's a blast from my past - I made some digital scrapbook pages last year and the year before - They're so easy to print up right at home and make a little book out of

Want to hear a cute gift for a baby - Get some pictures of everyone in the family (doesn't have to be posed to perfection) Put it on a peice of colored paper with their name on it - I can laminate it (to keep it safe from drooling mouths) and we can put it together on a key ring - A little hand made mini book for baby to look at - even when they're not right there :) PERFECT to bring to the babysitters for a mom's night out!!!

Stocking stuffers are easy too - mini note books/journals - my boys love them as much as my girls do! I have even personalized with their school picture so they know it's just for them. Or maybe a couple of suckers with some cute little santa's or snowmen toppers on them - a cute gum holder -
What about Gift wrapping?? Have you ever stamped on wrapping paper?? I let my kids stamp snowflakes on white paper last year - We even made matching gift tags! Each gift was carefully wrapped and everyone LOVED it!

Do you need some name tags for your gifts? Sure the cute little stickers at the dollar tree are fast and easy - but what about those specially wrapped gifts? Do you really want to throw a sticker on those?? I have plenty already made up - and the supplies to show you have to make your own :)

Have too many friends/neighbors that you want to let know how much you care? But not a lot of money to give them each a box of chocolates? I have some cute and easy and CHEAP ideas that you can make a lot of for you to use :) Just add your own candy or treats - I have bag toppers (for zip log baggies full of carmal corn) or cute little gift bags - the perfect size for a small portion to get more out of your goodies - or bigger gift bags for bigger familes - Mint - Chocolate covered chex mix - or even a bottle topper for the bottle of SPRIT "may your Chirstmas be Merry and SPrite" I have a ton of little sayings to go with different items.

Oh the list goes ON AND ON!! If you need some ideas - let me know - I can help you figure something out - and if I can't - I might be able to know someone who can :)

Step Card

I finally made a step card! This is super easy! It looked so complicated when I saw others making them :) But this morning I was reading some old emails (Still plenty unread) and came across this beautiful Step Card that Dawn made with her daughter's pictures - I thought "WOW! That's an awesome idea for Christmas cards!" Well I already have my Christmas cards for this year planned out - but thinking of taking some pictures of my kids (what a shock huh) and hopefully getting them printing them up for Christmas gifts (that's the tough part) :)

This one Im going to give to my Stampin' Sister - I told you Elizabeth - the longer it's in my home the better the goodies will be for you :)

SO I"m off to create a few more for gifts *Pat on back - it's not even Thanksgiving yet *

P.S. Parden the Non SU! gold brad - I don't have any more and couldn't find anything that looked right :)

Upsy Daisy Scrapbook page

We had a blast last Friday at Debbie's "workshop"

This year for my swaps at Convention This is the card I made - I used the new IN colors - and made 20 of each color. I think they turned out really cute :)

We did the matching scrapbook page and card for the workshop at my mother in law's house last Friday:)

I was trying to think outside of my comfort zone with my scrapbook pages. My mother in law wanted to hold a scrapbook "workshop". She isn't into the "kid" stuff that I normally do - so I was looking for some ideas and found a few of the extra cards I made for convention. and converted it into a scrapbook page :) I have lots of certainly celery and so saffron paper - so that's why I chose these colors for the 12x12 scrapbook

We had a lot of fun! We had all the kids with us - which made it al ittle more challanging for us - so they didn't get to make the matching cards - but they had a great time with the scrapbook page - We're hoping to get together a little more often for play nights (without the kids though :)

Scrapbook pages

Here is the new scrapbook page for next week Enrichment mini class .
I am excited about this one because it is made all with punches! I love Punch art!

Look at those Mushrooms! They're made with the circle punches -
The grass is made with the boarder punch - Love this look!
And the flowers - I used the 5 petal punch for the leaves and the scallop punch for the daisy's - I love the demention on the flowers because the petals really pop up to make it look like a real flower :)

The centipede is just little circle punches -
The only thing NOT a punch is the butterfly - that was left over from my velum butterflies from my convention card swaps using the Big SHot machine - I really need more velum - those things are GEORGOUS! I love how they add so much more elegance to the project :)

Anyways - this page really fits in with my kids - living out here we have a LOT of bugs - and my kids really love it too - If we have a jar left out on the counter - or dishwasher - my 5 year old takes it every time and just has to catch something in it :)
We had a swarm of prey mantisis out here this year - I can't even count how many they've caught. A couple of weeks go - my husband came in the house after church and had one on his back - just hangin' out with him. Last week we had one sitting on my vacuum cleaner - just waiting for someone to help him find his way out of the house - They're so cute actually - we kept putting them in my veggie garden - this year has been pretty good becasue there aren't any big spiders in my garden anymore! I can actually stick my hand through the tomato gate and get what I want without weaving in and out of the webs :)

We were hanging out sometime in July when one of the kids out here spotted a centiped in the street! This was a pretty BIG centiped! My neighbor put it in a bug catcher with a few leaves and put it up in her garage - a few weeks later we had a butterfly!!!! The kids were SO excited! We didn't see it come out of the cucoon - but it was pretty cool to watch :)

Anyways - so needless to say it's been a great year for my kids with these new found friends - we have jars still hanging around with some not so fortunate rolly pollies and crickets and grasshoppers -

SO this page is going to fit in really good with our scrapbook pages for this summer - I may need to make a couple more like it to go with all the pictures of bugs we took this year :)

Debbie's birthday gift

One of my friends out here had a birthday yesterday -
I made her this little birthday card/box - inside it holds 2 peanutbutter cups -
She said she liked it :) Hope so :)

Here it is closed - I used the Bella DSP and matching card stock - I punched out a flower with the scallop punch and cut it close to the middle to make the pettles. and then used a large crystal brad for the center :)

open up the top and there is al ittle card - I stamped with my Party Harty cupcake stamp - then wrote my little birthday note -
Then pull open the hidden drawer and there is the chocolate :)
I hope she really does like it :)

Enrichment Mini Class - August 27th

Ok skip back to last month - I added in a 4th of July page to go with the Enjoy page -

STILL don't have my pictures printed up - but they're ready :)

OK SO Enrichment Mini Class - It was supose to be last Thursday but I came down with a really bad head cold and just couldn't make it - so I called all the usual ladies who come - and hopefully no one else was going to come for their first time :(
BUT we'll see next week :)

Anyways - this is the 2 page layout I made for the class -
The first one is an End of Summer type layout -
I couldn't get a good shot of the 2 full pages so you can see the popcicles - they're made using punches :) I loved this as a card last year - so I thought I'd turn it into a scrapbook page :) Now I just need some pictures of my kids eating popcicles before Fall/Winter hits here :)

THEN just for fun - I made a "back to school page" I CASED from SCS - but I think it turned out really cute - One of the ladies I showed it to said she really liked both of the pages I made - sooo we'll see how it goes on Thursday :)

If you follow my Facebook - you've seen these before - and seen the pictures of my kids I'll put it in - once I get them printed up :)

SO there it is - my great love for Scrapbooking :)

Convention Fun!

Well it's been awhile but I'm back :)
A lot has happened since July - Stampin Up! Had their convention - I didn't attend the actual convention -but I went to dinner with a group of Awesome Demonstrators from Utah Diva's international Group that I belong to - If you're a demo and are interested in joining in on all the great fun we have - send me an email and ask me how to join :)

Anyways - so among the great dinner we had - we also did a bunch of swapping :) Always a lot of fun!

For a Card swap I made this card - (I hope I have it) AND I don't have it and can't find an extra one - but no worries - I don't think it was that marvous - so you're not missing much :)
I got a lot of really cute cards back though - Im ready for card classes if anyone wants to have one :)

Next we did a 3D item swap - I forgot to take a picture of that one too - I didn't mean to forget - but time just got away from me - what I made though was one of those little hidden treasure boxes - Loved it :) I filled up the drawers with some punched out flowers and some extra butterflies I had from my convention swap (keep reading)

What I got in exchange - It's an adorable little calendar card - it sits upright on my dest with the mini calendars on it.
There was so much confusion while we were swapping with everyone "ohhh" and "awe"ing over everyone's stuff and trying to find the matching number to the item we get - I don't even think I know who made this cute little calendar :( I'm going to have to ask in the group :(

For a scrapbook swap I made this page -
Not the greatest - I wanted to add a few butterflies on it - but I never got the chance to cut them out - BUT I got a few compliments on it anyways - I got a few really great pages back too :) Kimberlee swaped those for me on Thursday -

Like I said I didn't get to go and swap around - but Kimberlee and Kellie were awesome at swapping for me :) Thanks ladies :)

Well so much for once a week :) SOrry about that - my life gets more and more complicated every day with these kids :) "Drive me here" "take me there" "Buy me this" Whatever happened to "SUMMER JOBS!" lol

Anyways -
We have been talking and trying to put together a scrapbook mini enrchment class at the church - I've had 9 people sign up and a few more telling me they'll be there :) I'm excited -

We are having it on July 30th this month - then every 3rd Thursday after that - too much going on this week :)

Bookmark card

I saw this really cute bookmark card tutorail and had to give it a shot - it was SO EASY! I love how they look :) Both on a book and on the card :)
I made 4 of them using the baja breeze - and pretty in pink designer paper -
Why haven't I used Baja Breeze before ? I love this color!!!

SAB - Mini scrapbook

I mad a little mini scrapbook for Easter - using the SAB paper and punch set - but now I have no way of getting Easter pictures of my kids - SNOW ALL WEEK LONG!!!!

Anyways - but the album looks kind of cute :)
I just took two 7 1/4 x by 5 peices of kraft card stock and scored one of them at - I think it was 1 1/2 - Then I took the clear envelopes from SU and taped them in - and used NON- SU! jumbo eyelets (but they match :))

BUT everything else is SU!

A few things for the fair

Here are a few things I've made -

This is what I'm working on today -
I found some circle coasters in my closet - not sure where I got them but I wish I had more! I found 6 of them - so I'm making ONE for me and 2 for the fair to sell - not sure on price yet - but so far they're cute -
I'm mad at my CSP right now - it keeps cutting the paper and snagging it so I have to start over - sucks - but hopefully it'll do better - I haven't made the inside yet - but I"ll post those when I get them done -

Next I decorated a few pillow boxes - No I STILL don't have the die cut yet - but a nice friend mailed me a couple for samples - so this is what I did with them - not sure what I'm doing with them - but they look cute :)

I altered 6 mini comp books - I don't have the pens yet - I can't find them :( But I'll either bead them or wrap the matching paper around them - we'll see what I"m in the mood for :)
I also made a couple magnetic post it's holdes that I'll be making pens for too :)

Finally my boy/girl punch art card candy -
I CASED them from Brenda - she made them for the new mom's at UDI - Michelle sent me a way cut package (look back in Oct or November :)

SO thats what I have been working on :)

PLEASE Leave a comment here and tell Cory (My husband) that my Dear sweet Cameron does NOT resemble this turtle in any way - He has been calling him Turtle and Turtle head all weekend and I'm starting to get peeved about it! My baby is perfect!

Slider Card

I went to Scrapbook Expo last Friday - Cory surprised me by saying he would take Cody and Collin to work with him - I had to take Cameron but he just found ou how much he loves the stroller and he is so happy all the time so he was no trouble - in fact he was a big help at passing the time n lines for all the make/take items :) Everyone was just eating him up! Loved it!

Ok So I made a couple of - ok things - they weren't the best but they were free and something new - so it wasn't too bad - Iwish I had someone to go with me other then Cameron -it's more fun to go with a friend - but hey I got to go so I'm not going to complain :)

OK SO One of the make it/take it's I made was a cute slider card - I don't have the picture of the one that I made - but I did buy the template to make them for myself at home - I am excited -

I sat down to make a couple but everyone and their kids needed me for something - so I didn't get much time to play with anything -

Stephanie from UDI (Hi!!) had a birthday last week - and I made her a card using the slider template - (I hope she got it already :)

HERE is the card I made:) (finally huh :)

When you pull on the "Celebate You" It pulls up the cupcake and brings out the message thing :)

Cute Huh!! I made another one using the Just Buzzin' By Set but I didn't really like how it turned out - I'll keep trying-

I also got another template o make a "ripper" card - not sure how to explain it - but you start off with the front of the card - pull the tab and it kind of .... rips apart to show you a hidden message (inside) really cute - I'll see if I can figure out how to make it and upload some pictures :)

New Facelift

Well I just found a cool website that helped me make my blog look better :) Even if Don't stay on top of my posting :)

Lets' see a lot has happened - I had an open house at Riverton Library and met 2 new people - They are inersted in a Kid's Klub - I am holding another Open house at Brigham Creek Library on April 1st - so hopefully I can find more then 2 kids and start the Kid's Klub :)

I have pictures of my table but I can't get them off my camera - I'll have Cory upload them tonight for me :)

Here is something I made - Marla asked for Birth Announcments for her baby - since Im too cheap for a real gift :) I decided to make those -

I have a few other projects that I'm working on that I"ll snap pictures of -

I'm also working on some projects or Saratoga Splash that is coming out this June - I am in the mist of TRYING to get a booth (If they ever call/email me back!) soo hopefully that'll work out -

I"ve made a couple of post it's magnet holders with pens -
I made some cute Card Candy that I CASED with punched out baby boy and baby girl things - And I got a coupl boxes of bubbles (12 for $1) at the dollar store that wrapped designer paper around and will sell for a quarter each :) Hey I've spent a quarter for worse out of gum ball machines because my kids begged :)

I have pictures - but again I need t get themoff the digi camera first -

OH anothr thing - I joined Heather's (Stamp with Heather) punch art class and have been making some cute little punch art guys :) I love it! It's so fun!! (that's why I'm making the card candy/punch arts :)

What else... we sold the last 2 female puppies - so we're only down to Mack - our keeper of the litter - then Mattie - the 8 month terror! She's probably about the age of a 3 year old - and wow! I really can't keep up with her anymore - she drives me insane! BUT that's another story :)

WELL The snow is still falling and the kiddies are getting restless - so I'm off -

I PROMISE I'll try harder to keep up to date on things on here from now on :)

Our Dogs - Digi style

Ok went over to smiles.com and got some help with these digi scrapbook pages

Cory and Samantha went to their first dog show of the yer - it's samantha's first time showing - Mattie is only 6 months so they don't really have a lot of solid rules but it's good practice for both Samantha and Mattie -

The show starts today - but it starts at 1:00 and my other kids are in school - so we weont be driving down for it today - but we'll go first thing in the morning with them tomorrow - I'm SO excited :0

Newest member of our family

Cory was really iffy about selling him - we got a couple really good offers on him too - but it just wasn't enough to sell him-
I am falling in love with him now - he is so calm and sweet - Just like Bully :)
Sure he gets his puppy sprurts just like Bully does too - but all and all he's really a calm and sweet little guy - my little big macky is going to be happy here :)

But WOW!! Way Easy!!!

I had my daughter model it so you can see how big it is – The center circle is 6” and the petels are 4 inches

Scrapbook pages

While my computer wasn't working I was able to play a little :)
Why didn't anyone tell mr making scrapbook pages was fun???
Now I just need to get some pictures printed up :)

I made 2 girly pages and 2 boyish pages using the sweet always paper
They are 8x11 pages that fit in my binder :) I know what pictures I'll be using

Next I made a couple more boyish pages using the love you much set - And then 2 girly pages using the same set:)

When I got the virus on my computer we had to get it reformated (Thank you again Shane!!!) BUT unfortunatly we didn't save the email address out of my address book -

I thought I emailed you from my gmail site but I the yahoo Email keeps coming back as delivery failed - so Kadie - EMAIL ME!!

R.I.P Squirt

Yesterday was a sad day here at my house :(
Remember the little runt puppy that wouldn't eat? I was force feeding her almost every day - she would eat some days and not the next, then eat again - well Sunday she ate in the morning, and again in the afternoon but in the evening she wouldn't eat. We brought Rosie upstairs to feed her but she's all dried up. I forced her to eat a syringe full of formula and she cuddled back up with her mom and slept until it was time to go down to bed.

Well Monday morning Samantha went down to get their food treys for me and she found her passed away. I ran down stairs to pick her up and bring her upstairs wrapped in a blanket - luckly there was no school because my girls were devistatied (sp)

Cory took her with him to work. not sure what he did with her but he said he did the proper thing so not to worry about it.
I just kept telling my girls that she went to go live with her new family sooner then the other puppies did (they're going to new homes in about 2 weeks - well a couple of them are anyways) and she is now happy in her new home.

She's not starving anymore - she's happy. cory and I think her digestive system just wasn't strong enough to handle puppy food. We mixed it with puppy formula for 3 weeks - which was probably what was keeping her alive. but the puppy food just wasn't setting well with her. we had a couple of people come over to see her the week before and they couldn't believe she was still alive.
I know that these things happen. we have had a puppy die for no reason in a previous litter too - and from other breeders we have heard it's very common to lose at least one pup out of every litter.we've had 3 litters without any loses so I think we're doing pretty good. these things do happen a lot and sad to say there really isn't much more we could have done.

So with that said - Rest in Peace Dear Squirt (the girls named her because she was so small :)

I would put a copy of the rainbow bridge on here but I"m still without a computer and my husband wont let me google anything :)

computer down

My computer is down, ok it's flat out dead . We're working on getting it fixed but I will be without a computer for about a week - so if you need to get a hold of me, you can email me at jccscc@gmail.com - p I will be checking on my husband's laptop if I can pry him away at night after he gets home. I can't remember my password to my other email address - so if you are waiting a reply from me, I'm sorry!

I will update what I've been working on when my computer is back up.
BUT let me tell you this much - no computer, our tv went out and my breaks on my car are gone - so it's been pretty boring around here. I made 13 scrapbook pages on Saturday and Today I made my very first scrapbook in a box! I love it! And I can't believe how easy it was to make!

Ok I started on Jan 1st making 3 of these little boxes with 3x3 note cards- but since I put everything away I wasn't able to find time to work on them again - Well yesterday I figured out the secret! I took everything out on Saturday night and worked for about 10 mins - left it all out - on Sunday I sat down but didn't get to do anything - but MONDAY - I sat down 7 -8 times and finished all 3 boxes - a cute envelope note card AND made a matching scrapbook page!

SO I'm sorry family of mine but we will no longer be eating at the bottom half of the kitchen table :) as long as I leave my stuff out (under supervision of course - I need to set up a servaliance camera :) I can work on things off and on all day long and maybe JUST MAYBE I can do the scrapbook page once a month goal that I set for myself :) It's the end of January and I have 2 now :) January AND Feb :) WHOO HOO! I DO need to make a 2nd page though for a 2 page lay out - it's not easy fitting 6 kids on one 8x11 page :

ANYWHOO - here's the group picture - then 2 pictures of the box and note cards and scrapbook page - I did CASE the box and cards - but the scrapbook page I copied a lay out from a 6x6 page but added a few more things and changed the colors aroud so they all match :)

They're Growing!

Here are some recent Puppy Pictures - they're now 5 weeks old -
They're pretty much eating on their own now - but the solid food is rough on their litle tummies so they're not eating all the time -
We're having trouble with the Runt Squirt - she makes me want to cry every time I see her she's just not eating - We have he only still nursing with the mom - which she HATES - but I think it's pretty much the only thing keeping her a live - Poor thing :(

Anyways - we are playing show dog for pictures - so here are a couple : (sorry they look off - Blogger wont save my text where I want them :( )

The First 2 pictures is the Family Favorite (biggest Male) we call him Big Mac Tires :) Cory picked the name

Next 2 pictures are of Sadie - everyone's favorite girl because of her color - she also has the best body structure for showing - So we're told :) she's afraid of NOTHING and attacks EVERYTHING she can get into her mouth!

Then there is Bo Bo - he's the sweetest :) He is very friendly and loves to nibble on earlobes :)

They will be ready to go to new homes in about 3 weeks- they're growing fast and are a lot of fun! We have one going to New York and One going to Minnasota (I think that's where he said) and one staying in Utah - well nothing definate yet but he's been talking to breeders all over the place who are interested in buying from us :) WHOO HOO!

BIG SHOTS - You're going to be mine REAL soon :)

Ok I totally CASED this from someone at SCS because I have NEVER stamped on a scrapbook page before - I've done a few pages before SU! but they look like something my 9 year old daughter made :)

SO I'm happy that this page turned out - I gave my mother in law 2 8x8 pages - then made this single 8x11 page for my mom and sister in law for Christmas gifts - I need to make one for myself now :)

Teachers gift

Sorry I'm late on this too - I actually just finished making them last night - gave them away this morning since it's the last day of school - YES I like to leave everything for the last min - ask me how my Christmas shopping is going :) HA HA Haven't even started yet !

BUT yeah - ok last August when the stores were having back to school sales I got a package of 4 cork boards at the dollar store - well I had 4 teachers to make gifts for sooo this is what I did with them -

can't see it very well but I stamped the flower stamp from the "simply said" stamp set - I also used a bo-bunny flower in the corner and had my sister in law write the names (my handwriting sucks) Then I had the kids write "Merry Christmas and Happy New Years" on a peice of paper and pinned it on the cork using a thumbtack with punched out flower petels from the 5 petal punch -

So that's all it - OH MAN!! Another stupid thing about leaving things for the last min! I forgot the magnetic backs and ribbon in case they wanted to hang it up!!! AHHH!!! Oh well :)

So what do you think?? Is it cute even though I forgot the back part of the gift??

Puppy Pictures!

Sorry I didn't realize people were still reading my blog :) HA Thanks so much for the comments about the puppy pictures - I'm sorry I haven't posted them before now -
It's been crazy trying to get into schedual with puppies , kids, dogs, not to mention we all had the flu this week - so glad that's over with -

OK on to pictures - I'll try to keep updated pictures but it's harder for me since I can't upload the pictures to my computer from the camera - I stole these pictures off my husband's KSL classifies ad for the puppies - yes they're for sale now :) WHOO HOO!

BUT he does have a website www.sbrbulldogs.com where he uploads new pictures every week -

I can't remember what I put in the first blog about the puppies - I think I just said he just left to get the puppy formula - well good news - after only 4 days of feeding the little guy (Tiny) a couple of times a day with the puppy formula - he is now growing big and strong - he's still a LOT smaller then the others - but when he's hungry he usually digs his way UNDER all the puppies to get a spot - I have them on a semi eating schedual (lots of work with these guys) I have to go down there every couple of hours to make sure they're all full bellies and happy - Rosie isn't too happy about the welping box - it's just a wood box with a couple blankets - not comfortable at all - we do have her favorite dog pillow down there which is where she sleeps most of the time - so that's why I have to go down to make sure she gets OFF the comfortable pillow and feeds the puppies all the time ;) She's doing good though -

Most of the pupies are starting to open their eyes now - Tiny has his all the way opened but it will be another week or so before he can actually see out of them - right now everything is big blur - but my kids are excited -they can go down pet the puppies when I'm down there - the older 2 can hold the puppies under extreme supervision :) But they're doing great- Samantha named her favorite "goofy" because he likes to eat upside down and sleep on his back -he wiggles around too - but he is probably the biggest male we have and to me he still looks like a little cow with these spots -

OK sorry here are the pictures -sorry they're not that great but it's all I have for right now on my computer I'll up date it next Monday when they're 2 weeks old :)

By the way these guys have more then doubled their size since they were born -

First picture is Rosie and Champion Desiel - he is an Champion showing and has started weight pulling classes - his parents ARE Grand Champions in weight pulling - you should see some of the pictures my husband got from the owner - these dog pulls - I think he said 1000 lbs - We have apicture of one of his dogs pulling weights on a trolly with the whole family sitting on it - WOW!

Samantha calls him Goofy :)

Puppies are here!!

Rosie just had her first litter of puppies!!
She had 11 puppies! Which is a LOT!!! Misti's biggest litter was 9 - so WOW!

Rosie is a puppy from Misti's 2nd litter - so I've been through this before - but never like this!
She didn't tear open any of the bags for the pups - so I had to help them all -
It was scary because after #3 was born - i had to go upstairs to feed the kids breakfast (dry cereal) put the other dogs outside and back inside (it's FREEZING outside!) Then I had to try to sneak back downstairs - Collin kept screaming at me every time I tried to go down - I was upstairs about 10 mins - tops - By the time I got down there - Puppy #4 and #5 were born but she was just licking the bag! She didn't open them up!! So I had to hurry and get them breathing -

Marla (my sister in law) came over for about 2 hours to help with the kids upstairs - that was a big help! So I was able to stay down there and help her out - she had 6 puppies in 2 hours - then she got about a half hour break before having the next 4 - and #11 was about 15 mins later - just after Marla left -

She's doing good though - these puppies have a lot of color in them so Cory is happy -

Cory is home now and we went down to check on them all - 4 girls and 7 boys! WOW!

There are 2 that aren't eating or latching on - Cory put them up to her and got milk on their nose and they wouldn't latch on - so he's going to petsmart right now to pick up a bottle and some formula/milk and we're going to try to get it to eat a little that way - once it catches on with the bottle it should be easier to latch on to rosie - but yeah - so there are 2 runts that we're not sure will make it - hopefully this will help though - Please pray for the puppies :) I already love them all (at least for another 3 weeks until they start getting up and playing and biting everything! lol )

I don't have any pictures on my computer yet - but give me a couple hours when we get the kids to bed and I'll be able to sit down and upload them -

I better get down there to make sure she's ok - She's trying to be a good mom - she's just pretty clueless :)

Goodie Goodie Gumdrops!

WOW!
I got up this morning - and started getting the kids ready for school - Once they sat down for breakfast - I was stuck holding the puppy in the family room til they were finished -
SO while in here - I was running through my emails - I get some good blog updates - but today I got a really good one from Andrea Walford
She had her very first video tutorial!!
Now I'm really visually impared - I have the hardest time reading through tutorials -and if there aren't pictures - I don't even bother - but video's are GREAT! I hope she makes more :)

Anyways - so on her video tutorial - she showed how to make this really cute Christmas tree skewer - Well I had the skewers and the bags - just missing the candy - luckly I was going to walmart today to pick up some cups for Samantha (In Utah , watching Fox 13 on Thursday Dec 11th - both my girls are going to be on TV!!!! will update time when they finally let us know :)

OK SO while at walmart I got some gumdrops - only problem with this tutorial - she didn't mention it was harder to get the candy on the skewer then it was to make the tree :)

I love it though - I will be putting one of these inside the bags for teacher's gifts - maybe a few friends/family - I wont be making a lot of them - but some :)
I've already made 3 - It's a start :)

Baby Gifts!!!

WOW! I got home today from Walmart - and on my doorstep was a big package - I thought it was going to be my Christmas gift (Much Love Bundle - Can't talk about it til Dec 23rd - but it's going to be a GREAT Gift :)

BUT it wasn't my Christmas gift - instead it was a WAY CUTE Baby Box!
Michelle from UDI made some really cute things! I got a couple adorable baby bibs - and a really nice picture frame - There was a cute thing of body gel that she decorated too :)

Digging in deeper I noticed a little thing "For Dad" he LOVES Chocolate :) So it was perfect for him :)
Then she made 5 "Big Brother" "Big Sister" goodie bags for each of my other kids - they really enjoyed the craftmanship and details she made on the oh so cute bag topper - OK OK OK - if you know my kids - they really enjoyed the candy :) I really love the toppers - so I carefully opened them up for each kid and I'm saving these things :) SO CUTE!

Here is a picture of the "Big Brother" one - My model for today is Cody - he's showing off his stitches he got last Saturday - which I don't think he really needs anymore- but wont get them out til Monday -

Then there was a really cute bagger of "Baby BOY" Card Candy - they look like they're made out of SU! Punches - if they're not - I'm going to make some that are :) WAY Cute ideas!

I maade some Christmas cards over the weekend but haven't taken a pcture yet - Cody tripped and fell yesterday and ended up getting about 10 stitches just above his eye - poor guy :( BUT he's being a good trooper - loves to gross mom out by showing me what's under the bandaid - blach! I'm afraid to post a picture here because the only one I have is the one that Cory took at the Hospital just after they cleaned it but before they stitched it - ewwww I"m sure those family members with cell phones have recieved that picture already :)

What else - the puppy - Mattie is doing good - she's getting a lot better - she still potties in the house but we're working on it - Rosie's great -she's due to have her puppies THIS SATURDAY!!!!!yikes! I had a weird dream a couple nights ago that she couldn't/wouldn't feed her puppies so on top of 6 kids and a new puppy I had to go downstairs every 2 hours to feed 9 puppies - I invented something to help me out easier then Cory told me to draw a picture of it and we'll try to make one - he said I could have invented something in my dream and not even know it - So COOL! I haven't drawn a pic ture of it yet but I have been thinking of it alot and if there is a problem and Rosie doesn't/can't feed her pups - then I"ll be set :) YEAH!!!

WELL I'm off to make dinner - got lots to do next week so I"ll get a little more active later :)

These cards are well embelished and the envelopes are stamped with the same stamp set that I use on the cards - or a really nice sentament that goes with it -

The pictures on my FOR SALE page are really not the greatest - the cards do look a LOT better In real life - the colors are more bold and you can't see the embossing or the glitter in the photo very well - For that I"m sorry but I DO garentee that each card I make is done with the most care to make sure each card is to the best of my ability -

WOW! I was so shocked that I could make these with my 5 petal punch - I LOVE this punch - I can't believe I waited so long to get it! I've wanted it for a while but it was on back order and I hate waiting for things so I alway put off ordering it until they catch up :) I finaly got it -
I used it for the birthday swap - I made the flower the same way I made this - so cool how just changing the color of card paper changes the whole look of the flower!

SO I'm happy with this card - it was easy enough that I may actually just make this one for my Chirstmas cards for family and friends this year :) MAYBE :) I sitll want to use my Lovely as a tree set too - but - we'll see

SO That's what I've been doing every night this week after the kids go to bed - Luckly day light savings ended and they go to bed earlier now :)

Sheri - my sister in law just had a little baby girl today -

Unfortunatly I wont be able to go over to meet her until NEXT weekend - I don't want to wait a week! She's beautiful though - She looks just liker her 3 other sisters - wow how nice to have 4 daughters :)
I have 4 boys and 2 girls - I really wanted 3 of each but - oh well - I"ll take what I can get - She doesn't know the joys of raising a boy though - Personally I think boys are a LOT easier when they're babies - I have all mama's boys though so maybe I just got lucky with mine :)

Anyways -
I wanted to make her a baby card - I don't have ANY in stock - SO I got to play a little while making it - I will be working on a couple little gifts for her as soon as I find out her name! She had like a list of 10 names - and just couldn't commit to just one - SO hopefully she'll pick a name before they leave from the hosptail :) It will make it SO much eaiser to personalize things!

It's funny - Sheri and I have 2 kids that are 11 days apart - and now we have 2 more that are 8 weeks apart :) And (it's my Father's Birthday today too! Happy Birthday again dad!)

Ok back to the card - here it is :) I did CASE it from SCS - I changed the colors around though - I wanted this punch set because of this baby card - but I never used it for my own baby - I was going to use it to make my birth announcments - but ha ha still haven't even gotten those out yet :)

SO here's the card -

I used my Pink Pirouette paper (Finally)and Pixie Pink along with Chocolate Chip -
I used my small star punch and the crop a dial for the embossed circles on top
and the Punch Three Hostess level 1 stamp set :)

November 2 - play day!

Well I got a chance to play a little today - yeah!

Here is a picture of a Chicke Broth Holder - from Dawn's video - I CASED it exactly but it's cute - It has a little pocket in it to hold the packet of chicken broth - I love it! I used Sincere Solutions "get well soon" and I finally got to use my Eastern Bloom set :)
I have a few more cards to make with it - but I'm working on "other then cards" for now -

Next is a picture of a Deer Friend 3x3 note card - I made a whole set of the Deer Friends using different colors but the same pattern as you see here - I tried taking a picture of it but it's too colorful for my cell phone and wont send out :( I'll get one though :) I am working on a little card box to hold the set in too - it's coming along but not quit finished - I couldn't find a pattern for it so I'm just making it up as I go -

Then there is this card - Ok my friend Kadie - I love her to peices - she sent me a couple different card kits that she made a few extra of - I LOVE this card and I feel bad because it took so long for me to make these - This one is using the Fast Notes set - if you look at it - you can see the middle section is lifted up ? They all 3 lift up like that - She used a few different retired stamp sets - my favorite was the last year sell a bration using the scallop set for the baby card - I'm going touse it and put some pictures of Cameron in it for a sample - I haven't finished making it yet - but it is really cute :)

This is another card she made a couple kits for me out of using the oval punch - I love how these cards look - She is an AWESOME SU! Demo and does really great work! She doesn't have a blog right now - so I get to keep her to myself for now :)

Just finished making some samples for either a workshop or a stamp a stack - I haven't decided yet :)
My Mother in law wants to hold a workshop in November so I'm working on something to show her -

Here are 4 cards - if she picks this set it will be just 2 cards not 4 - she has to pick the glitter or embossing - Personally I like the glitter better though :)

Halloween Party

Saturday we had our Church Halloween party -
The kids had fun - it wasn't as "all out" as it had been in the past with all the games and fun activities - but we had a nice meal - the kids paraded around the room for a costume contest and they had a pumpkin decorating contest (my kids didn't win in either but had fun painting their pumpkins and getting it all ready :)

Samantha was a baby -
Christina was a half Devil and half Angel
Cody was a grim reper
Collin was a dinosaur,
Casey was a dark ghost and
Cameron was a duck :)

Quack Quack - or should I say "peep"

Here is a little milestone we hit last week - Cory FINALLY got to see Cameron's smile over the weekend :) And then all of a sudden he started putting a little laugh in with his smiles :) SO CUTE!
I was finally able to get him to smile long enough to get a picture of it -
This is the end of his smile - but don't worry - you'll be able to see it in person soon enough :) He has been giving me these big heart melting smiles all day today :) Gotta love those big toothless grins :)

Happy Harvest!

Yesterday was the ward Pumpkin harvesting in our ward's garden -
All the kids - under 18 - got to go out to the garden and pick a pumpkin - then have hot chocoalate - yum - that was fun! We got there about 10 mins early along with a few others. They all started fighting over the biggest pumpkins - funny thing is - Casey and his friend were sitting on their big pumpkins then decided they wanted hot cocoa - so they got off and the girls got on - lol so the boys lost their pumpkins - I told the girls if they couldn't carry it to the car they can't have it - it was funny watching them try to carry them :)
After we got home I set up the pumpkins on the front porch THEN woke up Cameron and rushed everyone out in the cold for a quick picture - The first picture of all 6 kids together! (they didn't all fit in the picture frame so I altered it alittle) BUT It turned out great!

He's HERE!!

Ok well he's been here for almost 3 weeks but I'm finally up to sitting at the computer long enough to tell you about it :)

Cameron Krawler Was born September 17th at 1:51 pm -
had my dr appt on Tuesday -

I was still not dilating -
Because of my past pregnancies/births my dr was afraid to let me go over my due date (Thursday) I was measuring at 43 weeks and feeling really crummy - I was having major back pains - I could barely make it through the day with my other kids -

SO my dr decided to go ahead and schedule down for me to go in Tuesday night -

SO Cory and I got to the hospital - weird enough - there was another Jen Stewart checked in already to be induced - with her 5th baby and she was having a boy too! We KNOW we're going to get HER bill in the mail!

SOOO ok we get in there and get all checked in - and take my first pill - The contractions were coming on strong - but not too bad -

I got a little sleep but it wasn't easy -

Cameron was born at 1:51 pm - about 2 1/2 hours after my water was broke - and it was a fairly easy delivery! So all went well -

NOW comes the hard part -

Collin, my 19 month old was very mad at me while he visited in the hospital - I was so looking forward to having him sit on my lap and hold the baby like all my other kids did for the first time when they were younger - but he didn't even want to sit on the bed with me - Every time we tried to get him to see the baby he ran to Cory and wouldn't look - it was so sad!

BUT now that we're home - Collin wont stay out of the bassinett! He has to sit with me when I'm holding Cameron and he loves me again :) Whew :)

Canerib is doing great - I had to take him into the pediatrician Friday morning -and he lost about 8 oz :( he was sleeping so much it was hard waking him up to feed him :(

BUT slowly he started waking up more and more and Eating a lot more - We had our 2 week check up last Wednesday and he is up to 8 lbs 15 oz (over a lb from his birth weight) and grew a full inch - he head is a little smaller then average but being Cory's little boy - his soon to be big ego will fatten up his head in no time :)

The day after his 2 week appt I went on baby fit to ask about my I'm hurting so bad when I BF him - I was told to check in his mouth and diaper area for a rash/spots - well sure nuff - Cameron has Thrush! and he passed it on to me -
SO I called the Ped office and they called in a prescription for him and me - and now about 4 days later - we're still pretty sore - but they said that it will take probably the full 10-14 days to feel better - HELP!!!!

SO I'm still BFing for as long as I can - and then giving him a bottle when he's still hungry - we've cut down to 3 bottles a day today so hopefully we'll be feeling better soon and only have the bottle ONCE a night instead of most of the day :)

What else..... He now has some strange eye goobers coming out of his right eye - I'm praying it's not pink eye - Collin had pink eye for 2 days after Cameron was home - Cory doesn't think it's pink eye because it's not swollen or pink - so I guess maybe his tear ducts are now coming in and maybe he has a little cold?

That's about it!

Sorry this is so long :)

I'm just excited my little guy is here - Sure he doesn't sleep at night - and having him AND Collin in my bedroom - wakes them both up at the same time so I'm not getting any sleep - BUT we're all doing good - I feel SO MUCH BETTER then I did when I was pregnant - I can WALK again!!!!

OH and Cory got WII Fit :) I told him I wanted it after the baby is born - he got it :) I'm feeling up to starting it this week - jsut hoping for a good nights sleep - or at least an hour nap during the day so I have the energy to play :) My kids LOVE it - the games are a lot of fun and it's REALLY challanging too :) No they don't need to lose weight but they are getting toned pretty good :)

Baby announcments

All I'm missing now is the baby!!!!

I was supose to get induced yesterday but my crummy body is broken and I'm not dialiated - So BLACH! Still pregnant - I did get an antibiotic though for my cough/cold/sinus infection/whatever I have - so hopefully I can get a LITTLE sleep at night again - tonight's the first night with it - so crossing fingers it's not one one those - "get worse before get better" type medicines - I am TIRED!!!

Anyways - back to the announcments :)

I followed a video tutorial by Dawn's Stampin thoughts - and made this cute little pocket card - you pull out the "sweet one" scallop and it will be attached to a picture of the new baby - While I'm in the hospital I'll be snapping TONS of pictures - Then I'll take it home and digi it up with the baby info on who (since we stilld on't have a name yet :) and weight and size - bla bla bla - THEN i'll put it in the card and mail it off :) I only made a few for mostly family - and a couple of friends - I couldn't sit on that stupid chair for too long - plus I ran out of the Summer picnic Designer paper that I was using - so I may have to order more - darn it!!

Well Today is Labor day - and still no baby -
It's also my mom's birthday -

Since I got her some tulip bulbs for her birthday I decided to use my Garden Whimsy stamp set to make her a card - the idea is CASED from the Stampers Showcase (Demo's only sorry) I can't remember who made it but I loved it :) I did a few little changes but it's pretty much her card :)

You can't tell from the picture but the tulips are glittered with Dazzling Dimonds and the butterfly has chuncky chunks on it -

I used Always Artichoke and approcot appeal and rose red

That's about all the details in there :)

Money Holder

Well I haven't done much since Convention is now over -
I'm pretty much stuck on the couch with these pregnant hips and pains -

We have a scheduled due date for Sept 8th - IF he's not here before then -
Still arguing over names - I will NOT have a child named Cannyon Crawler Stewart
No IF'S AND's or BUTT's about it!

I'm leaning towards Craig (Means Rocky Mountain/hill)
OR I'm even finding myself to like Camran (his first pick) a little more every day - so we'll see - I'll keep you updated :)

Anyways - I joined in on Max's Marker Club - I'll finally have all the SU! Markers come November! I'm excited!

I sent her the first payment in August and had to make this CUTE little money Holder that I got from Dawn's Video Tutorial - I LOVE the way it turned out!

I used the new Dreams Du Jour Stamp set - with the NEW IN Color Pink Pirouette - and the Bella Rose paper to match :)

I'm not going to be posting much - I cleaned out my craft closet and put everything away until after the baby is born - I have TOO much to do - cleaning and sewing wise -

I made 25 of these little 3x3 note cards with a little Jr Mint inside for my open house-
I'll have it displayed in a little basket next to a sign up sheet for my monthly email newsletter - they can have one IF they sign in :)

I also just made a sign up sheet for my new monthly class - starting August 13th - I'll be holding a class at my house every 2nd wednesday of the month -

Well I am offically a member at SUDSOL (Simply Unique Demonstrators Sharing OnLine)
They have a Challange/chat that they do every week (I think- I'm still new) and I joined in today for the first time -

Their sketch challange to me looked like a scrapbook page - I had school pictures out on the table - so I grabbed one and went to work -

There is both an Alphabetical List, and a list in order of Page Numbers the stamp sets appear on in the catalog.

Punchy Swap

For VC Rocks I signed up for a puncg swap -
Ok Yes I know it's a CASED card from Dawn's stampin' thoughts - but I love this card and these colors!!

Her card used the Jersey Shore Designer paper - but because it has wild wasabi in it it will be retired (that's an IN color that will be replaced in August) SO I couldn't use the Jersey SHore paper - BUT that's ok :) I like the colors - so I stuck with them -

I used Ballet Blue - Mellow Moss and Only Orange for this card - oh and Creamy Carmel :) Love the way it looks but it took ALL DAY to get it done - Collin has a bad diaper rash and just wont stop crying - I feel bad for him but ugh! Give me a break already!

Oh and I used the stamp set "Happy heart day" I think it looks kind of like a summer sun with a little heart :) If I had the markers in the matching colors I would have colored in the hearts -but since I can't place an order to order them right now... they'll just have to do - BUT I like the way it looks - nice and summery :)

Puppies!

Ok they're about 3 weeks old now - but they're here! we have 4 out of 6 sold! One of our little guys is going to live in Missippi when he's 10 weeks old!

We have 1 female - sold - and 5 boys - you can go to http://sbrbulldogs.com/ to see more pictures - but here are a couple of my favorites!

Then there is BABY - she's the baby of the group and my daughter's favorite

Then there is .... we can't decide on a name - he's tuff guy - or tiger - or something - he just loves to get up and wrestle - he has the CUTEST growl! I wish I could get a video of him :) - he's my son's favorite :)

We have kittens too! They're FREE!!!!
OUr wild cats that live on our front porch just had 4 kittens - and the other one had her kittens but she hasn't brought them out yet - so not sure how many we have all together - the 4 we have seen are now living in my husband's jeep during the stormy weather we're having today - lol
He's pretty ticked off - it's been really warm outside all week so she brought them out to eat and hang out on the front porch - but it got cold - she took all but one kitten this morning to the jeep - when she came back to eat - I brought the kitten out of the garage for her - and she brought it over to the jeep - which is how I found them - Cory told me to take them OUT of the jeep and put them back on the porch - but that didn't last long - she took them off the porch and back to the jeep - I took them out again - and now she has 3 of them again and this poor little kitten just keeps getting left behind! She'll come back when she's hungry - so we're not worried about it - but it's like 65 degrees out and really windy - it's been raining all day - so hopefully she's ok out there - Idon't want to put her back in the garage!

Anyways - that's about it for the puppies and kitties -

Ok I'm WAY behind on my blogging -sorry
the Workshops were GREAT! Brought in a total of $922 for all 3 workshops!
I hate to say I didn't make a single booking - but I got a few emails to keep in touch - so we'll see how it goes -

I've gone out to 3 neighborhoods out here by my house posting a note with technique booklets on almost 250 doors and not ONE SIGNLE Email or phone call to book - I'm getting really discouraged here - I don't know what else to do!! any demo's out there that has any advice I'd greatly appreaciate it!!

I don't have anything booked so if anyone is interested :)
I have some way cute new samples for the make it/take for workshops - maybe even classes?

My First Workshop Cards

A WAY CUTE Tart and Tangy 3x3 note card and box set :) Making 3 of the note cards and the box to put them in - Then if there is time we'll make another matching card - and POSSIBLY a scrapbook page to match - Sorry no pictures there :(

I REALLY wanted to use the Heartfelt Thanks set that I got in the starter kit - I hated that set at first but once I got it down with the stamp a ma jig - I LOVE that set!

If anyone wants to host a workshop - I have a way cute scrapbook page and 4 cards using that set :)

Pretty huh! I LOVE this flower! It's so pretty! And I have a wheel that goes really nicely with with - in fact I made 2 cards using it! And of course my 2 little girls are the perfect picture for that set :) LOVE IT!

I'm also working on some boy scrapbook pages to demo - I just can't find any pictures of my boys that work with the stamp set - I KNOW I have some - just can't find them yet :) I have too many disks to go through :)

Anyways - so that's what I"ve been working on - I have samples from Heartfelt Thanks - Greeting's Galore - 3 for you Punch box and Tart and Tangy -

Ok well since becoming a Demo - I've been waiting oh so patiently on getting my kit (It was Mailed TODAY!!!!!)

I've been working on some raffle drawing prizes - So if you book a workshop with me - you can win something out of this basket ok basket wont load but here are some pictures of what's IN the basket :)

Ok FIrst picture is a mini post it's holder/key chain -
I made a bunch of these in different colors - Green - turquoise - pink and yellow :)
- also giving some to my neices for Easter :)
Retired set Basic Backgrounds with LSBS DP for the centers and ribbons :)

NEXT I have This little note book - while I was at Walmart I found a bunch of them for like 37 cents each - so I grabbed a handful :)

Next is a bigger Post it's holder like I made for my kid's teachers for Christmas -
I used Close to Cocoa , and Tempting Turquoise DP from SU!

and Finally I have this cute little nugget card box - I used some Easter candy even though my workshop wont be until AFTER Easter - but it matched :)
I used the Happy heart day set and colored it with my pastels and blender pens - I don't recommend using the blender pens on regular card stock - SU! Whisper WHite is Awesome! Regular card stock tears easily and makes a big mess - blach -

The hostess will get first pick out of the basket before the workshop starts - then I'll draw names for other's to win something :) FUN HUH!

I made a few of the same things to go in for a raffle for another workshop - still don't have one booked but thinking about holding an open house - or trying to coax my friend into having one at her house - we'll see though :)

I'm a DEMO!!!!! and After Valentine's Day Stuff

WHEW! It FINALLY HAPPENED!
Today I went over to Jamie's house to sign up to be an official Stampin' Up Demonstrator!
I'm SO excited! I've been saving my money for almost a year now - with school clothes shopping - Christmas - and a few little odd's and Ends - My money that I was saving started dissapearing! I was so sad! BUT with the special they're having for the Sell-A-Bration month - I was able to save up !! WHOO HOO!!! So it's official now :) I'm the newest Independant Demonstrator in Utah :) Wanna book a workshop :)

Ok After Valentine's Day stuff -
I can offically let people know that I'm Pregnant again! Yes AGAIN! Baby #6 - She's coming a little earlier then we thought she would - we wanted to wait until Collin was a little closer to 2 before we got pregnant - but - he'll be about 19 weeks when she's born - Oh well - life happens :) She'll be here in September - not sure the due date yet - My first dr's appt is Monday - so check back later if you're interested :)

It's been pretty hectic around here though - we all got sick for awhile and I haven't had much time to do anything - but I did get a few things done -

This was my neices' birthday card - I totally Cased it but I don't know WHO I cased it from - SORRY!!!! But I love it :) Isn't she cute??

Next is a get well card - When I said we've been sick - I didn't mean just my family here - My Mother in law and my Sister in law's WHOLE family got it (funny - we weren't around eachother for a month and we all got sick on the same week!)
I CASED this card from Dawn's Stampin Thoughts - She did a cute job making it and I've been looking for more ideas to use this set with - So I cased it :)

THEN..... I made this Yesterday using a template that Rachelle sent me - WAY CUTE! and way easy to make - I made 9 of them in less then an hour - lots of scoring - but worth it :)

WELL That's about all I have time for today - Time to get the kiddie's in bed and check out some new SU! Demo stuff :)

A CRAFTY BLOG!!

FINALLY Huh :)

Ok now that we got all the pictures caught up - here's what I've been working on -

First swap is from my Let's Swap Yahoo group - Kadie, Chris and Carol and I are good friends who swap a lot together :)
The swap was for a valentine's gift - not a big gift, just a little gum holder or candy holder - this is what I made

I used my cuzzle to cut out the purse - then I used my "tucan of friendship" stamp set (retired SU!) and stamped the "A treat for someone sweet" on the inside of the purse - THEN I wrapped it up in the 3 x 3 card to mail off :)

I showed it to Marla and she loves it! Since it's so easy to make we're going to get together and make a few of the kids in her daughter's Pre-school cloass and my Christina's Kindergarden class :)

This card/kit had to have a card - book mark and a baggie topper included in it -

In the picture you can see the "roses" Samantha made for me using kabobo sticks and paper rolled up :) She spent a whole afternoon making all 10 of these :) They're prefect for Valentine's day :)

Here's a close up of the cards and stuff - I used SU! Simply Said stamp set for all of these - OH and I covered Jr mint for the candy in the baggie :)

OK NEXT Swap - I did was for a Valentine's day Pocket Card that I am hosting on Paper Craft Swaps board - It's full sorry :) BUT this is the card I made (going to take a picture - sorry:) -and she's back :)

AND FINALLY - ONE MORE SWAP - It's a BUG CARD swap from Paper Craft :)

I used my retired SU Cute as a bug stamp for this one - CASED it from Splitcoast but it's a LITTLE different :)

I liked the pink and purple - but thought it might be too girlish - the swap is for boy/girl - so I made it again using the red and blue :)

OK NOW Stay tuned because I just bearly signed up for a large paper clip swap and a jumbo binder clip swap at splitcoasts :) SO I'll be working on those for a couple days :)

Motorcross Freestyle!

Here we go again :)

OK - The first weekend after New Years Cory got tickets for the WHOLE Family to go to the motorcross at the - old Delta Center (can't remember the new name :)

It was a BLAST! WE hadn't been since Casey was like 3 years old - back when Mad Mike Jones was all anyone ever talked about in our family :) Casey was HUGE Fan!
Casey THOUGHT he remembered what it was like - but when we got there - he was SO EXCITED! They ALL Were!

They changed MFX a LOT in the past few years - my first reaction was.... where's the dirt?? Strange question?? I don't know but it seemed like the most of it was for the advertizments on the ramps - and there were only 2 ramps!!!!! Then there was only like 8 guys jumping - they put on a good show though - Even COllin loved it!
He was on my lap clapping and yelling - he thought it was a bit loud though and kept covering his ears but didn't cry at all the whole night - even when he was getting tired - he still didn't fuss :)

The kids each wanted to bring some of their Christmas money - so Casey, Christina and Cody each bought themselves a flag - Samantha didn't want to spend $5 on a flag - so she put her money away forsomething else :)

Well that's about all I can say for this - here are a couple pictures then next post will be of my most recent swaps that I"m doing :)

Samantha was born on New Years day - we went to the hospital trying for New Years Even (Tax reasons ) but that didn't work - she wasn't THE New Years baby - but 6:30 am was enough for me :)

We brought in the New Year with a Wii - a-thon - Cory played for most of the night - then the kids took turns playing - First Collin fell asleep about 10ish - then Cody passed out closely after - then Cory fell asleep - Christina fell asleep on the couch about 10:30ish - then Cory fell asleep next to Cody - Next Casey went over to cuddle up with dad and here's Samantha dancing away on the Dance Revolution til midnight - I woke up Cory about 5 mins before - then we let Samantha run outside to throw some poppers - The other kids stayed asleep :) BUT it was fun -

For Samantha's birthday - I took her to build a bear - she LOVED it!
Of all the cute little animals for her to pick out - she picked out the scroungiest looking puppy - but the one that needed the most love :)

We got her a little princess bed - and a shirt and colar and of course a little baby puppy to play with - because it was her birthday they made a special announcment at the checkout - she loved it :)
Then we went to Taco Bell after for a quicky lunch before picking up the other kids and heading to the dollar Tree to pick up some baby items for her new little princess :)

Grandma Lilly came over and brought her a cool CD player with a big Tin full of Gospal Music - which she LOVES!

THEN Grandma and Grandpa Stewart came over and So did Justin and Nic & Erin - Marla was coming home from Wyoming so she didn't make it but she left a gift with Justin to bring - she got some cool "little pets" - She got the whole vet play-house thingie with about 24 little pets to play with :)She LOVED IT!

AND that's about it for this post :)

It's Christmas time!

Ok so it's a little late but I"m trying to update thing thing before I get too far behind :)

Christmas was awesome! Loved visiting with the family and all that food :) So much fo weight watchers - I totally gained so much over the holidays!

BUT i'm back trying to work it off - but I still can't get the eating part down - see Collin is finished nursing so I lost 10 points! HELP!!!!!

Meeting Santa

We went to the Christmas party in my mom's neighborhood last night - there was a really SMALL amount of people that showed up - concidering she lives in the largest neighborhood out here :)

BUT it was fun! The Christmas party by my house was during the weekend when we were all sick so we missed it :( My kids weren't happy but they were really excited last night to see Santa :)

When Santa first walked in Christina was holding Collin and he started SCREAMING!
But once Casey took him (I couldn't get into the crowd) he calmed down :whew :)

They started off with a little kid who got to wear a funny santa hat - kept moving around :) Then they brought up 2 younger kids and gave them a flashing nose and antlers and we all sung Rouldoph -
Then he brought up 4 kids - Cody and Casey and 2 others - Santa took off his sleigh bells and the kids held onto them shaking them as loudly as they could singing Jingle bells - Cody all of a sudden got really shy but he loved the bells :)

Then he started seeing the little kids to sit on Santa's Lap - he told the big kids to wait because he had a Big surprise for them - My kids scooted back nicely to let all the younger kids have a turn
Cody's turn, he turned Shy again - didn't want to look at anyone - didn't want to say anything - Then santa gave him a candycane - he got a big smile and looked up at Santa and said "Thank you" :)

Christina went up and just jumped on his lap - she's not afraid of anything :) We brought Collin over with Chrsitina so he wouldn't be scared :) He wasn't sure what was going on but he didn't cry :) Whew :) He loved the candycane though - just started chomping down on it the second Santa handed it to him :)

They had a blast :) After all the little kids had a turn, Santa started on the big kids - first he called up Samantha - but then told her to go sit back down - She was going to be last :) So he called Casey up - he jumped up and they acted like they had been buddies for years! Just chatting away laughing and pal-ing around :) It was cute to watch :)
A few other big kids went up then it was Samantha's turn - for her "BIG Surprise" She got about 8 candy canes :) And then some :) So it was fun!
Then they did a group shot of all the kids - then a little shot of just my kids -
Oh here :)

Since it usually takes about a half hour for all my kids to get their coats on (Yes we all had our coats this time :) We were the last to leave - Santa had an extra flashing nose and antlers in his bag and gave them to Casey and Samantha - Called Samantha his little Comit :)
Christina is feeling a little jealous though - but hopefully that'll pass soon :)

THEN we went home - feeling festive we drove around the golfcourse houses looking at the lights on the way home - ha ha I got lost and couldn't find my way OUT of the golf course! I was tempted to get on the green and just head for the main road but ended up turning around and going back the way we came :) it was DARK!

BUT it was fun! we had a blast - When we got home the kids were SO Excited to show dad everything :)
Hurried and had some soup and went to bed :)

Tonight .... they're going to meet another Santa's helper at their OTHER Grandma's Christmas party :)

Post it's holder - Teachers Christmas gifts

I've never made these Post it's holders before but they looked so cute so I wanted to give it a try :)

Made this for Casey's and Christina's teachers (favorite color is Purple)
I need some matching ribbon for the binder clip it looks a little plain but you get the idea :)

And this one for Samanthas MALE"Teacher his favorite color is Orange

Fun huh! I have never made these before and I can't believe they're SO EASY! So I had fun making them :) The kids LOVE how they turned out and can't WAIT to give them to their teachers - OH and I added 2 extra post it's stacks with a little cigar band and put it on the back for the teachers - I'll get a little mini gift bag for them to put it in later this week :)

BUT now I don't have to worry about Teachers at the last min again this year :) Last year I was up til like 3 am the day before school was out for winter break! YIKES! I'll never do that again!

I copied the one I got in Deb's Hostess/thank you swap :) Not sure who made it - I didn't see a recipe card for it - but I LOVE IT! and plan on making more for Christmas gifts :)

Ok We cheated this year :)
My Mother in law was watching Good THings Utah about 2 weeks ago and they ran a special - 75 card kit for $16 - she went online and got 5 kits (one for each of us )

We got the kits the day before Thanksgiving - whoo hoo!!!

SO we were PLANNING on going over last week to work on them but with my kids getting sick - never happened - SO I got my kit and WHOA! These things are AWESOME!
I was so excited! It took me like 2 hours to get 6 each of 3 different cards done - then yesterday another hour and I finished them - well ok I didn't finish them there are still 4 more cards that are photo holders - but I need to get a photo for those first :)

SO here's the cards - I'm STILL going to be making a SU! Photo card for like my mom and dad and in laws - but for the friends and distant family - here they are :)

I have to take pictures of the rest - Cory charged his phone in his car and switched batteries with my phone! WHOO HOO!

Sick Kids mean more Crafts!

Collin has been sick since Wednesday night - still sick actually and it's SUNDAY!!
We took him to the dr's he has a sinus infection and a ear infection - so much drainage down to his stomach - he can't keep anything down :( SOOOO got him on some meds to help - he's bearly 10 months old - he needs all the help he can get :(

Friday Chrsitina had it - then Friday night Cody had it - ugh! Saturday we woke up to a nice blanket of snow and volia! Everyone's better??? HA HA - no but they got to play - I don't have a camera :( SO didn't get any pictures but they had fun -

Guess the fresh air was good for them because last night they were all feeling so much better - happy and no fever - I think CHrsitina and Cody are just about over their sinus infections - whoo hoo!!

I thought Collin was better - but he had a rough night last night - So back to throwing up a little today :( Poor kid - he BETTER be bettter by tomorrow! I NEED to get out of the house! BUT I will stay home with him if I have to - poor little guy

BUT because everyone's been so sick - I've had some play time during NAP TIME!!!

Ok I joined a "Stocking Stuffer swap" from Paper Crafts - here's what I made - just a couple mini frames from the dollar store - came with 6 in a pack :) SO good deal

The swap is due on Friday so hopefully I can get them mailed off on Monday -
I'll upload Kadie's Christmas swaps next week after she gets them :) DOn't want to ruin the surprise :)

PINE CONES

Here's a layout I did for my kid's -
Last week we went with my mother in law to look for pine cones at the golf course -
She has some wreaths she plans on painting and we're going to glue the pinecones on the wreaths - and then??? Not sure - but we always have fun doing crafty things and they usually turn out cute so I'm sure they will :)

Going over next Thursday to work on CHristmas cards - we ordered them from Good Morning UTAH - BIG Kits for $16 makes 75 cards! I'm SO EXCITED! BUT bring your own sewing machine - ugh! Need to work on those secret Christmast gifts (Can't say in case Cassandra or Candace read this :)

My Mother in law wanted me to make her a couple cards to go with her adorable towls she embrodered for her family gifts - She surprised us and made us one with matchting apons - I LOVE IT! I'm going to wear it for Christmas :)

Anyways - the towels and aprons say "Christmas Kisses" on it with snowflakes - it's red with white writing (pictures later I"m too tired tonight :)

SO Here is what the card I made looks like -
Snowflake spots - embossed used a heart brad in the middle - the card is 3x3

Today - Sunday is her birthday - I asked all my sister-in-laws to email me pictures of their kids so I could make her a little tin with pictures for her purse -
She came with me to Stamp Camp awhile ago and ran into an old friend from her old neighborhood - she couldn't believer "Little Cory" had a wife and kids! (I had Samantha and Collin with me) BUT good to grandma didn't have a single picture of her other grandkids - SO I had been working on this for about a month now - She loved it!

Will upload pitures of the tin tomorow - again tired :) Sorry

The first page has a picture of her and says "Top 12 reasons why I love being Grandma " then it has all the pictures inside of the accordian fold which looks like the others from before with my step mom's accordian book - just more pictures added on this one

So that was fun! Used Dashing paper - she loves green :) I made a little bag to go in it

It's a Birthday Party!

Christina had a birthday party!
She's now 6 years old -
FOr her party she wanted everyone to come dressed up as a princess - well of COURSE! What 6 year old wouldn't want to dress up in a princss gown!
She had to wear her halloween costume ! BUT she was loving it :)
She invited her 2 best friends - which are moving in a couple weeks :(
SO I made them a little something to remember this special day by

Her birthday party was Wednesday from 4-6:00 - then my inlaws wanted to come over to celebrate from 6:30 - 8:30 - so it was a long day :) BUT we had a lot of fun! And she had a GREAT Time :)

Of course I had to make a digi page for the scrapbook - not sure when I"m going to print these up and put them in a book but I will :)

Sunday Drive

Sunday was a little hard - COry and Collin were sick with bad colds , so we decied to skip church so we don't get anyone else sick. We decided to take a family drive - I love driving through the canyons and enjoying the day with the family -
THIS TIME I chose a different direction - we drove WEST off of Redwood Road instead of towards the Freeway to the canyons -

Cory (my hubby) is a big time OFF ROAD guy - jeepin' dirt bike ' 4 wheeler - snow mobile - you name it

WELL HE KNEW what was WEST - a big playground for off-roading We drove for probably 20 mins, then He took us on this "road" trail - leading to more trails and more trails - We have 5 kids in the car - and Excrusion for that - I have a screw driven in one of my tires already and he just fixed the muffler from LAST time we went off road and he hit a rock - I like my car quiet!

LUCKLY my car made it ok without any more then just really dusty - I personally don't like off-roading - he takes my older kids to Moab all the time and I stay home to shop and play :) SO I was freaking out most of the drive. I don't like the "cliffs" on my side of the car :) My kids always laugh at me when I freak out -
SO those are the memories :)
BUT Mostly when we reach or destination and get out to hike and walk around - yes more hills more rocks more freaking out :) BUT I always get some good family pictures :)

I am loving this Digi scrapbooking - it's SO EASY!
I have a TON of "challange" Sketches that I've found online - all I do is take the challange and "draw" the frames and lay out how they have it and add my pictures and patterns/colors - I LOVE IT! It took me maybe 15 mins to make this one - I played around a lot with the background and stars started ticking me off after awhile too :)

I've gotten a LOT of compliments on the title *Blush* it was really easy to make too!

Christina had her THanksgiving program yesterday (Monday) I"ll see if I can upload the pictures for that and work on a little something later today - Today is my LAST shopping day without kids - NO SCHOOL FOR A WEEK!
SOOO LOTS to do today :)

Digi Pages

OK SO I'm not really a full blooded stamper - I don't have time to pull out my stuff and sit down and try to make pages out of pictuers I take (I suck at taking pictures too) SO I found the easiset way for me ... da da da daaaaaa - DIGI SCRAPBOOKING!!!! I LOVE IT!
I've downloaded a LOT of freebies and even though I still can't find my digi camera I still have my cell phone :) SOOO Here's my latest :)

OK for my first digi scrapbook page and introduction picture :)
It's the only recent picture I have of myself with my kids -
It also has my sister in law and her daughter - She's the one with the dark hair and her little girl is in the middle with the brown coat - The rest are mine :) Then me on the end with my 9 month old baby - 40 lbs lighter then last year :)

We took this picture like 6 different times - my older kids were making rude noises trying to get everyone to laugh - it worked but the younger kids kept looking back there :)
ANYWAYS -
The lay out is simple but it took forever for me to make :)
The stuff is from Raspberry ROad - I'm not sure how to give "proper" credit - so if it's wrong - please let me know

This next picture was taken this morning :)

Collin WANTS to crawl, he's ready, he's old enough, and he's able, but still hasn't mastered it yet. We're working on it :)
He really loves his cars too :)

Cory surprised me with a new area rug last night! I love it! the colors are perfect and it's So Soft! so this is him testing it out :) Now I REALLY Can't wait to get my house painted :) It will really stand out (Crossing fingers for spring :)

I used .....ALL ME template (because I have no orginality of my own :)
I used Rasbperry Roads - Tatum Days paper and elements : )

SO there you have it my first digi scrapbook pages (made from kits - not a pre-made page :) I have a few of those I've used but this makes it more fun - challanging :)
Can't wait to see what cute things my kids do tomorrow while we're at Grandma's house :)

Halloween Goodies

Made these little halloween goodie bags for my little borther and sister on Saturday -
I decided to make them for my kids and neices -

Here's what the outside of the bag looks like

It's just a black party bag I got last week and a peice of halloween paper with some ribbon - I cuttlebug - embossed the bag for more details but you can't see it on the bag -

Inside the bag - I altered a notebook from the dollar store - and made a little match book notebook as well -
In my kid's I wont have the candy corn guy since we just made those at Rober'ts Make it/take it's last weekend - but I got some little zip lock bags that I'll fill with some little ccandies maybe a sucker or something and make a little sucker topper/baggie topper on top of those - or something simular

OK COllin is screaming at me again so I gotta go upload this for Misti :) HUGS! This is Wednesday's project!

I'll upload pictures from the Scarecrow Fest - Witches at Gardener Village and pictures from SU! STAMP CAMP!!!!!!!

Halloween Bags

Just got back from MIL's house - we had fun -
She and Marla and I saw these cute bags at the WItches thing at Gardener Village last week and though "We can make those!" So we did!
What do you think?

This one is for the girls - with the boa around it -both are reversable - with purple and black - the WORSE shiny material you can buy but they turned out pretty cute - the purple has glitter in the material :)

Ladies' Night Out

The LSBS Robert's Craft has a great Ladie's night out every Conference weekend - Oct - and April -
I took my 2 girls and we had a blast with the make it/take it's they had going on -
They had a big sale with the cuttlebug stuff - well I use all my cuttlebug folders with my sizzix machine but had a blast learning more about the JR cuttle bug offered for kids! My daughter wanted one SO BAD! Maybe for Christmas :) THeir folders just aren't cheap enough though :) BUT here are a few things we made :)

This is a little 3X3 card - really cute :) Remindied me of my son Casey - so I cut out and extra one for him :)

NEXT - This one was just made of foam peices that come in a little kit - peel the backs off to stick everything together - My daughter's loved them :)

These are cute little party/goodie bags - I bought some in black along with 2 12X12 peices of paper to make a few of these for halloween gifts :) SHould be fun :)

We were MORE then ready to go home after these first 3 - but ran into ONE - TWO more on our way out -
Those crowds were HORRIBLE!
THis was just a little bookmark - cut from foam with the cuttlebug circles -
$15.99 for 4 circles! HA HA HA! I'll use my circut if I want to make this cute little snowman again :)

AND LAST - We made these cute little magnets to go on the fridge - I have to find out what kind of glue we used on these because WOW! They dried quickly and very strongly! BUT they're cute! I love the stones - I think they're the type you put in the fish tank :)

Early October

I don't really do a lot of decorating for halloween but JoAnns was having a good sale a few weeks ago on their Fall 12X12 packets - I also got the matching stickers so FINALLY I took the day off of everything else and made a couple things - I already gave a few things away to my kids and a couple of their friends - and got a couple ready for mailing out to Kadie :) Shhhhh :) Don't look Kadie :)

So here they are -

First is a fall card I made - I used the rock and roll technique on the gentle falling stamp in the middle (pumpkin orange and ruby red around the edges) turned out pretty cute :)
Then I used the Happy Fall Ya'll stamp set that Sheri wants - I didn't use the scarecrow but I have some cute ideas to use him with - but I told her next time I see her I'll bring them with me so I better get started :) Not sure when the next family thing is going to be :)
SOOO that's pretty much it - for this card -

NEXT I went to the dollar store this morning after my eye appt - and got some mini comp books in a packet of 4 for $1 - cool :)
So here are 2 that I made and gave away :)

NEXT.... Christina's friend wanted one - but I only got 8 comp books and I'm planning on giving them to a few selected people already - BUT I felt bad because she really wanted one - so I made these cute little matchbook note books - one for Payton and one for Lilly -

AND that's it for today - I have 3 more comp books to decorate - and I'd like to make a few more matchbooks too - didn't think they'd turn out as cute or be that easy to make :)
I also got some halloween penciles from the dollar store that went with the paper - turned out to be a cute gift for a few people :) Too bad they don't know who's getting what :)

Will be back with more tomorrow :)

P.S. Casey went to school yesterday - fell asleep during math - he SAID because it was too easy ha ha but he made it through the day -
Samantha went to school today after twisting her arm - she didn't call to come home so I think she's getting better -

Eye Sugery

The kids (Casey and Samantha) had their eye surgery yesterday - boy am I glad that's over with!

Thursday we went in for a dr's appt and to get their new prescription - found out that the surgery wasn't until 2:45 on Friday - YIKES! BUT we got all the info we needed - they couldn't eat after midnight - clear liquids only bla bla bla -

BUT We survived - we were at the hospital for 6 hours - but everything went pretty fast - they did Samantha for the first half hour - then Casey - then after about a half ho ur after Samantha got out she was waking up - so I stayed the whole time with Collin - whew that was fun :) He was actually pretty good though - in a good mood the most of the time - so that was nice :)

Samantha did really good with her surgery - no bleeding or anything -
Casey had some though - his eyes were irritated from the eye drops the day before so they were twice as irritated after the surgery - I felt so bad for him - waking up in a daze and all he wanted to do was rub his eyes! But we fought him off and he started waking up - they upped his medicine but he ate a ton of ice chips - drank a whole cup of juice and ate about 10 crackers - So he wasn't going to get sick -
Samantha slowly ate her crackers and juice - she wasn't too happy but she was doing ok - she gets really quiet and still when she doesn't feel well and so that's pretty much all she did -

This morning is going better - I set my alarm on my phone to wake me up every 4 hours last night so we were right on top of the medicine so they didn't wake up in agony - whew :) They'll appreaciate that later in life :) but today I already got yelled at by both of them for waking them up 3 times while they were trying to sleep :)
This morning they're doing better - they woke up early and are watching the Hanna Montanna marathon - OH BOY!! We've only seen every show 10 times!
BUT They're hanging in there - trying to get them to start eating today and back to normal - hopefully by tonight/tomorrow they'll be up and around a little more then back to school on Monday - they said they SHOULD be able to go to school but they are the only ones who can tell you if they're up to it or not - sooo we'll just have to wait and see :)

Halloween stuff

Made a alittle halloween thing

It's a chipboard with a little clip - used last years Halloween picture when we went to see the "witches" at the Village Gardens - planning a trip out there again this year my kids LOVED those witches :)

Then went to my MIL to sew some Pillows and stuff for Christmas -
It says "Stewart's a journey to forever"
LOVE these :)

THEN went to the LSBS and got the supplies to make my halloween mummy board this was fun - we made it at Enrichment - I'm going back next week to get a few more chalk boards and stuff to make as gifts for halloween :)
The tag says "TOMB many days to count" I don't usually decorate for halloween but these were cute so I had to make one :)

This was taken at Roberts' craft store - yes I took their picture in the store display window! But I used my phone so it was fast and no one saw us (HA HA)

Made this for my inlaws anniversary - just a little match book tied to a candle :) Got the idea out of the PC magizine April 2007 issue :)

Been trying to work on some cards and stamping stuff but I can't get my supplies out - I just don't have the time anymore :(

Here are a couple cards I made -

This first one was for Courtney's (neice's) 2nd birthday -
I got her a "Love Bug" book with a "Love Bug" doll and made her a "Love Bug" card using my new "Garden Whimsy" set and the "Birthday Hugs and Wishes" set Samantha won as a door prize :)

This next card we made at my workshop that I hosted last Friday -
I don't have this set - but It's on my list :)

Now I DO have this "Pick a Petal" set that I really wanted - But after I got it - I had the WORSE time getting it to work for me!
So I had Jamie (My SU Demo) show us how to use this set - I like it a lot better now and I will probably use it :)

We made 2 with this set - We also had ribbon on these last 2 cards - but she thought one roll would be enough - I had 7 people show up - I also had my 6 month old baby with me and it was close to bedtime so I was the last to make my cards - but I think they look nice without the black and white plaid ribbon as well :)

This was a Hostess Gift that Jamie made for me - it includes some coupons for free paper when I roder 4 get one free - Free background stamp when spending $100 or more - 20% off my entire purchace during my birthday month ... etc - cute little things like that :) I really like this - and will definatly use them all :)

Made with "Just because" I don't know how she stamped the butterfly so perfectly onto her card - but mine was a mess - I ended up taking another stamped butterfly and cutting it out and masking it on top - so it looks like it's flying :)

This next one was cased from - Crud I can't find it..... Tracy Stamper I believe - but I'm not 100% sure - I'm so sorry!!!!!!!

After I made this one like hers - my husband said he really liked it - so I decided to change the stamps around and the colors around and make it a little different -

SO there you have it - My cards from August :)

I should be getting my NEW stamps from my workshop the end of this week - I got some good ones :) Loads of Love and accessories (FINALLY) - I got the PUNCH BOX with the blank cards :) Simply Said (FINALLY) - Then 2 packets of fun paper to play with :) I'm excited to play with those!

I'm also working on a little ..... chipboard type booklet - I've stamped all the stamps I own (SU!) onto 4X4 peices of paper and making a little book so I can bring it with me to show everyone what stamps/inks I have :) It's still in the works - so next time I'm uploading something I'll be sure to add that :)

Well we're off to finish school shopping today!

And the rest of June

June was super busy for me because we went to Lake Powell!
I had so much to get ready for I didn't have time to do much else-
lets see -

Cory's and Marla's and Sheri's birthday were in june -
We went to willard Bay to go boating - the water was so low it was scary to bring the boats in the water - but we did put one in and had a nice day :)

Cory and I had our 11th anniversary - went to the Crab Shack for dinner - YUM!

Went to Walmart and got rid of all the kittens but one - that last one is the hardest - no one wants him - he's kinda fisty and hisses whenever anyone goes out there - so we may have another cat hanging around :(

THEN
Went to Powell and had a blast!
First night there - Collin's head started to swell - so we took him to the ER - he said he hit his head - but ummmm I was holding him the whole day - there was no way he hit hhis head without me knowing about it!

Friday at Powell we just hung out and played all day - Marla got sick and she got a hotel room - Sheri and family decided they had enough camping and wanted a room too so they stayed til bedtime then left -
OH And Casey and Cory and Jesse caught a cat fish - yuck

Saturday Debbie woke everyone up bright and early to enjoy the SMOOTH water - she said you can tell when everyoen's getting old when they sleep through the best water :)

Shane and family left in the evening - we did smores and peach cobbler - YUM! Oh and they cooked the cat fish too - blach!
Then everyone said it might be best for me to sleep in the spare bed at the hotel for Collin's sake - I didn't really want to but I did - we slept great!

Sunday we got up and Will was on his way up to the hotel with the flu - so that thing was HORRIBLE!
Glad we didn't get it!

Packed up everything and hit the road - finally got in at 9:30 Sunday night - whew :)

monday we weren't convinced about Collins' swelling head - so we went to the Pediatrics and he wanted a C.T. scan - So made the appt for the 5th (today )

Tuesday - happy 4th of July (happy birthday Kadie! I'll send your your gift on the 16th!) we watched fire works on our lawn from accross the lake - they were tiny but the kids loved it. So all's good. Nic was over and Casey found Cory's stash of flowers from like 2 years ago - and they had fun lighting all those too :)

This morning we got up and went to the Primary children's hospital and got Collin's C.T. Scan - they wouldnt' tell us the results we had to talk to our dr - so Cory dropped the kids and I off at home and went to pesture the dr until he called over there with the results - Sure-nuff' Collin had fractured his skull! YIKES!
We think it was about 3-4 weeks ago when he fell off Samantha's bed - She loves to take him in there to play with him while "cleaning" I didn't see it happen but I heard him crying - but all my other kids had fallen hundreds of times when they were babies without any problems - well no not really hundreds of times but every kid hits their heads at some point in their life - ok so mine did two or three times or so, but we had no reason to think anything was wrong. I kept him up for 3 hours - his eyes seemed ok , there was no bump at the time or anything - sooo I don't know -
BUT we went back tot he dr's this afternoon and he said there is a small fracture - but there is a little bleeding under it - so I guess that's why it was swelling up - the swelling is way down today - so hopefully that means the bleeding stopped.

BUT now we have to go in on monday for a rutine skeletal x-ray on collin to rule out child abuse - because NO we don't beat our kids - or throw them around or drop them on their heads for fun :) or anything like that - So get that part out of the way - then we have to get his eyes checked and make sure they're doing ok - might take Cody with us and get his eyes checked too - THEN Collin needs his 4 month shots next week also (yes he's 5 months but I was a month late getting his 2 month shots - soo yah yeah yeah)

ANYWAYS - OH the fire by my house is STILL going - not the one below from June 6th 0 the one from June 24th - they "had it out" on Thursday the 28th, but then a "new" fire started on Friday morning - and now there are 3 different fires going on up there - for over a week now and it's still gross and smokey out here :(

AND that's that-so now you're up to date -

When did I make this? I think it was for Marla's - or was it for Sheri's birthday?? I made one for each of them but different paper - I think this one was Marla's -
On the inside of them has little deviders and I added a few cards I made from old swaps - they loved it though :) So yeah :)

Fire!

We had a big scare last night - my husband wants these pictures for his forum so I get to upload them here for him :)

The fire was a little less then 100 yards away from our house - Shifting winds created problems for fire crews all night. Rain was a welcome sight early this morning and definitely helped control the fire

They evacuated about 100 people from Lake Mountain and the rest of the neighborhood was on "watch" luckly everyone got to go back home and the fire was contained enough just after midnight and was fully put out this morning Whew :) it was a long night though :)

We worked on their Teacher's gifts all day yesterday - made the same coaster pots as Christina did with her pre-school teacher - I'll be happy to say I'm DONE making those for a while now :) They're not that easy to make!

Well I got so many ideas for a thank you for my kids' teachers - I'm sure I"ll be using them all :)

I have this weekend/next week to work on my older kids' gifts - but my youngest daughter is graduating today from Pre-school - I'll be back later with more pictures :)

I want to thank Ashley for her idea though - once I read her email I KNEW this was what I wanted to make -

I'm not a big fan of these coaster pots (read down to mother's day )
It took some time to make this one but I love it! I showed it to my sister in law and she's telling her sisters about it for their kid's end of the year gift -
luckly they're out of our district - because now my older 2 want to make one for THEIR teachehrs!

I'm still thinking gift certificate for my son's teacher whom I really want to thank in a big way - so maybe I'll put my son's picture in front with the gift card on back of the picture or something? hum - just thinking

Anyways - so that's what I did yesterday -

Mother's Day gifts

Ok here's what I made -
First gift I made for my sister in laws -

I got my coasters awhile ago and I finally had the PERFECT project to make with them - I saw these mini roses at Walmart for $2.98 and thought they'd be perfect in the coaster box for my sister in laws for mother's day!

I saw SO MANY really cute boxes on SCS and thought - "HOW EASY"

HA HA! an hour and 45 mins later - I FINALLY finished ONE!
Only 3 more to go! YIKES!

Next gift is for my mother in law - she and I are planning on starting weight watchers together - just to help shed a few pounds - but it's always more fun to do with a friend -
SOOO for Mother's day I got her a subscription to weight watchers magizine -
I saw a few of those really CUTE bikini cards and had to have my try at it

I'm trying to find a really cute saying to put on the inside without insulting her or being rude - she has a pretty good sence of humor but... you know - it IS mother's day :)

Then I made alittle box to put the magizine in and made the tag with my kid's pictures

For MY mom - it's al ittle harder to shop for her - she has EVERYTHING - but she LOVES yard work/flowers - so I got her a pretty plant for her to plant in her yard - I think she'll really like that - then I also made another tag set with my kid's pictures - so hopefully she'll like that too :)

SO that's all I'm doing for mother's day - I have to make 3 more of the coaster boxes for the mini roses - yikes! I'll finish those tomorrow AFTER my trip to Archivers for the make it take it - hopefully Cory will babysit

Ok so if you read down in my blog you'll see that I just finished selling 9 puppies over Easter weekend -

Well now it's the cat's turn!

Some history about our cats -
a few years ago we adopted a male wild cat - put a cardboard box on the porch and fed him - that summer we found 4 kittens hiding under our jet ski - yikes! Since they were wild cats, we couldn't catch them to give them away - but we couldn't let them starve! So kept feeding them - slowly they started dissapearing - not sure where they went, but we kept feeding them - last Summer - 2 females got pregnant - HoneyBun - is my daughter's favorite cat - she is the biggest softy - all my kids pick her up and play with her - So we were able to bring her in our garage and she had the kittens in there - Lucky - the all black female was the other one that got pregnant, but she HATES people -
After a while of her being gone - I went down to do a load of laundry and saw movement in the tumble weeds in the window well - YIKES! She had 6 kittens in there!
So we brought the kittens in the garage and left the garage door open and she ran in when she thought no one was looking - HA HA

So when the kittens were old enough - we took them to Smiths with a big KITTEN'S sign and gave them all away!

now we're down to 2 female cats - not sure what happened to the other cats over the winter but we have 2 now - these 2 cats are GREAT at going out into the field and catching mice - so they're staying here for as long as they want to -

We notice Lucky was pregnant - but she still doesn't like people touching her - but she'll tolerate it if she's eating - so my husband snuck up and grabbed her and brought her in the garage - a few days later she had her kittens - that was about April 23rd-ish she had 4 kittens - but since she hates to be around people other then when she's hungry - we gave her her space so she could relax -
honeybun - I wasn't sure if she was pregnant or not - but my husband thought she was going into heat - so we put her in the garage anyways to keep Lucky company - and keep her from getting pregnant - well guess what, she was preganent -
We were giving Lucky her space and not going out there except to give her food and water and change the litter box - a few days ago she had moved the kittens - my husband and I were the only ones who knew where they were - but she moved them - so searching around trying to find them without making her nervous - I finally saw them in a box/bin - But didn't even tell my husband where they were in hopes that she'll keep them there.
Well today I was running late and asked my little girl (age 5) to go make sure the cats had water out in the garage - a few mins passed by and she didn't come back in the house - I'm like GREAT she found the kittens she'll be moving them for sure !

So I went out into the garage and the OTHER female cat (honeybun) was inside the box hoovering over the kittens while my daughter was trying to look - I called her back in and walked out to see why she was hoovering over the box - the kittens were older so they shouldn't be so protective of them, Well it looks like the other female WAS pregnant - she had 4 kittens - I'd say about 3 or 4 days ago! THAT'S why Lucky had moved the kittens -
So now instead of 4 kittens to give away, we'll have 8 - plus my neighbor's so far 6 kittens and she still has a pregnant cat who's just about ready to pop -

Here is a picture of the kittens - you can see the older one and the smaller one - the mom is not in the picture - those are all kittens - 2 weeks and 3 days old :)

THIS Card is cool! It took me a few mins of looking it over to figure out HOW to open it! The TAG closes the card shut! You have to untie the ribbon to get the card to open - REALLY Cute and Im definatly going to be CASING this one :0 Oh i also bought the TAG punch from SU! yesterday too :)

Ok took me a while but I FINALLY finished all the cards :)

This is actually the card that I saw awhile ago that inspired me to buy the Silly Sealife set :) I love these whales! It wasn't easy getting them close together like this :) BUT I love this card - will definatly make it again

This one I had messed up on a previous center folded card and had the card stock sitting in my scrap pile - so I pulled it out and just added a matching piece of patterened paper over it and added the Thanks :) (My orginal :)

And now we come to an end - I finished all the cards last night - then realized as I was cleaning up I needed ONE MORE THANK YOU card! AHHHHHH

So this morning I went to Misti's site and followed her tutorial on how to make this cute Nugget card box

This was my first time ever nugget box - I had the HARDEST time scoring this one - The sliding box was too big, or the sides were too small - So I changed her numbers around a little instead of 4 3/4 square I used 4 1/2 square and scored at 7/8 for the slide box and THAT seemed to work out better :) Whew - Filled with some nuggets I got at the store yesterday (luckly there were still a few in the bag :) And I used my wheel on the mailing lables - I didn't think things through as far as the stamps/paper I wanted to use- but they look pretty ok :) Don't they??

She went to a scrapbook retreat over the weekend and made a TON of stuff - waiting for her to share her pictures with me! I'm so jealous though - she made a TON of stuff out there -

She came home Sunday and cleaned out her craft room and made all the cards for our swap and put them in the mail already - AHHHH! Talk about pressure!
Ok So I'm not done yet but I got a good start today - takes me alittle longer since Collin (now 3 months) is not sleeping all day anymore - but I tried -

Ok here they are -

First one I actually made Saturday - It's my first try at the Tri-fold card - Thanks so much Beate for the step by step instructions - I hate cards that I have to score on - but this one is too pretty to not even try :)
I used a Stamp from Michaels

Next is this pretty one I CASED from franz - I used my Circut for the flowers and the Sincer Salutions (I can't spell - sorry) for the Thanks so much - and a ribbon I got from Walmart by the yard that I had laying around - The dots on the ribbon are pink to match - but for some reason in the photo they look blue - but they're really pink I promise :)

This next one (wedding) I CASED from (looking it up :) reneejul1
I LOVED her card - Now that I looked her up I'm seeing that I didn't do EXACTLY how she did it - but I got the idea from her
I used the cuttle bug to emboss it - then used the silver ink pad over it to add the color - I printed up the text with my computer and used pop dots to pop it out - used the cuzzle to cut out the squares and... oh a sheer ribbon I had laying around :)

Here is a Happy Birthday one that I made - everyone is using the cuttlebugs for cards now so I don't really know who I got this idea from - but I used a white ink spot over it so you could see the embossing a little better :)

Here is another Happy Birthday one -
Used the (I'm in a hurry and Can't remember the name of the stamp set - will add it in later) You can't see it but I used versemax ink on the stamp and used it for a background on the cover

And Finally my last Thank you card -
Using a dollar store Thank you Stamp - just cut out a hole in the middle with my cuzzle and put the tag - I put little hearts around the outside of the card to kind of match the heart brad I put on the thank you tag :)

And That's ALL I had time to make today :)
hoping tomorrow will be a better crafting day for me - I didn't get a lot of sleep last night - Cody had a bad dream and for 3 hours wouldn't stop coming in my room!! I finally caved and let him in my bed but ugh! So I took a little nap this morning before Christina and Cody woke up - just after Casey and Samantha went to school - Whew - Cut into my crafting time but much needed :)

Anyways - Cory's on his way home , I need to clean the house, get dinner started and finish helping the girls clean their rooms so we can paint their shelves TONIGHT! AHHHHH
